Your website is now read by AI assistants. Here is what to change.

If AI assistants cannot read your site, they cannot describe your business. Seven checks to run with your developer.

People now ask AI assistants for recommendations before they ever visit a website. If your site is hard for those tools to read, they cannot describe what you do. Ask your developer to run these seven checks.

View the page source. Right-click your homepage and choose View Page Source. If you see almost no words, many crawlers see almost nothing. Ask for pages that arrive as real HTML, not as an empty shell that fills in later.

Give every page one clear title and description. Say what you do and where, in plain words. Do not write slogans that only your team understands.

Put the facts in sentences. Services, who they are for, where you work and what makes you different belong in text on the page, not inside images or PDFs.

Add structured data. This is a small block of code that tells search engines and AI tools your business name, services, location and contact details in a standard format. Ask your developer for it.

Make the site fast and accessible. Fast, well-built pages are easier for people and for software to use. Run a free speed and accessibility test and fix the biggest problems first.

Do not block crawlers by accident. Check your robots.txt file. Some sites turn away AI crawlers without meaning to. Decide on purpose.

Keep your facts consistent everywhere. Your website, Google Business Profile and LinkedIn page should agree on your name, services and location.

One optional extra: a plain-text file at yoursite.com/llms.txt that lists your most important pages. Nobody can promise it changes what assistants say, and it costs little to try.
